Psychological Technique : Key Questions For Client Treatment

Reflecting On Yourself

"How Did / Does This Situation Make You See Yourself?"

"When You Are Around Him / Her, What Do You Think Of Yourself?"

"If This Happens To You In The Future, What Do You Think You Will Think Of Yourself?"

Treatment Note : The Goal of these questions is to prompt the client to see that their experiences prompt them to think about themselves in different ways. Knowing this, the client learns to identify how their life experiences prompt them to see themselves.

Wrong

"What If They're All Wrong?"

"What If Everything, Everyone Has Said To You In Life Is Wrong?"

Explanation : Human beings are mortal. Fallible. Have opinions, but certainly do not have answers. With this in mind, the only truth that exists for you is your own. Paying attention to other people's ideas is fine, but adopting them as your own is wrong, for you. They can be wrong. They do not have the truth. Your truth, is yours to craft for yourself.
