Scientific Investigation : How Strong Is The Correlation Between Freedom To Run In Childhood And Reported Happiness In Adulthood

Hypothesis
  • Mechanically speaking, the human body's most natural form of movement is running. Human beings are most perfectly designed for the form of locomotion of running.
  • During childhood, children are told not to run on a regular basis.
  • "Don't run in the street." "Don't run inside the shopping mall." "Don't run inside the house." "Don't run in the classroom." "Don't run when invited to a friend's house." "Don't run, Don't run, Don't run."
  • It can be said that when human beings are doing well in life they are "running". If somebody is "crawling" through life, it can be inferred they are doing poorly. The admonition to not run regularly used throughout a person's life, permanently cripples people from succeeding.
Question
  • How strong is the correlation between not being permitted to run, and overall human happiness and well being?
  • When a child is raised with the regular warning of not running, will the child grow up to be anything but crippled and unbalanced?
