The Inner Energy Cloud or Energy Blob [Movie Visualization Technique]

Imagine that your feelings took on physical form in the guise of an energy cloud, or an energy blob, which changed shape and form in response to your emotions.

What does anger look like?
What does sadness look like?
What does happiness look like?
What does funny look like?

Emotions are intangible, invisible, mysterious,
would it not be intriguing to see them made perceivable?

I think the movie What The Bleep? presented a good model for this idea during the wedding reception scene.

The Honesty Club [New Kind Of Club]

The Truth Seekers...

Alternative names for the club.

Mission Statement

Vision - Templates For The Club

Corsicans : People from the Island of Corsica were renowned for being very passionate and for speaking their minds plainly.
And, unfortunately, for stabbing each other with knives if their disagreements were too formidable.
But it is the passion and openness that The Honesty Club seeks to emulate.

Slogan

"A chance to be honest and tell it like it is for a few hours a week."

Quote

"The truth shall set you free."

"You cannot have a true life unless you have honesty."

What Kind Of Club Is This?

Is it a Debate Club?
Yes.

Is it a Support Group?
Yes.

Is it a Think Tank?
Yes.

Is it a Philosophy Club?
Yes.

Is it a Networking Club?
Yes.

Is it a Book Club?
Yes.

What Kind Of People Would Like This Club?

Anybody who is tired of wearing a mask while relating with others.

What Kinds Of Issues Can Be Brought In To Talk About?

"How does everyone feel about stem cell research?"
"Does our current socioeconomic system truly honor human nature?"
"Do I look ugly?"

Ice Breakers / Closers

Each meeting would start with an "Ice Breaker" activity and end with a "Closer" activity.

Diffuse Tension

These Opening and Closing activities would be a great way to ease the tension which very likely arises from being truthful to one another.
Simply put, we're not raised to be this way and even though it is an irresistible human need to be honest, if one is not accustomed to being so, it can be quite a shock to one's system.

Questionnaires

Every meeting members would get short Questionnaires, on all aspects of human existence, to get them thinking on how they feel about the world.

Degrees Of Honesty or Categories Of Honesty

Members could request degrees of honesty.

Being overly harsh and critical is painful to bear.
Some people find raw, unadulterated truth invigorating, and others find it painful.

Members would communicate to one another, how much honesty they were willing to take.
However, the aim of the club is honesty, is to have honesty in club members dealing with each other, so everyone is encouraged to ask for one another's genuine truth.

Show And Tell

Bring in anything you want to talk about and submit it to your fellow Club Members for their honest feedback.
That's the point of the group.
To be with other people who remove their masks and give you their truth.

Examples - What Kinds Of Topics Are Appropriate To Talk About?

Not to paint with too broad a brush stroke, but, simply put, anything.

Courage To Take And To Receive

Being part of this Club would be a courageous act, because people give their opinions to one another without holding back about what they genuinely think and feel.

There will be many occasions when what someone has to tell you will be painful to hear.

The Benefits Of Friendships Formed From Honesty

You actually really know the people you have become friends with.

Emotions - Is It Acceptable To Show Them?

Most definitely, in fact, it is one of the central aims of the club.
In a society which discourages overt displays of Emotion and thus effectively denies people to be true to human nature, this Club offers an oasis, where people are encouraged to be honest and express what they truly feel.

====

Brainstorming

The idea of this club is for people to grow and get to know one another based on honesty.

I'm sure that many of the elements have already been done before.

Any sort of forward-thinking groups where people look for innovative ways to make connections with one another.

A Seeker [Viable Life Direction For Young People]

A Seeker. Ronin. Freeter.

A person who is "restless" and does not learn or grow by sitting still and looking up at a blackboard.

Seeking People, Not Professions

The Seeker seeks out "People", not "Professions."

"Anybody Can Do Anything When They're Believed In."

The Seeker seeks out people, out there in the wide world, who are
eager, open, generous
people who genuinely want to pass on their knowledge to others.

I call them True Teachers.
They make learning a pleasure.

The Seeker seeks out these people because they make learning the joy it should be,
they make life the rich and exciting experience it should be.

The Seeker : Personality

A Seeker is a person who does not learn well in a 9-5, predictable environment, philosophy.

They are Adventurers, they learn by doing new and exciting things.

The Motorcycle

The Motorcycle is a symbol of A Seeker.
It is the modern day horse.
With few possessions, A Seeker travels the world seeking people who genuinely want to share their knowledge and life.

The "Traditional" (Stagnant, Staid) Growth Path

Going to school.
Going to university.
Working in "jobs".
Rigid.
Inflexible.
Robotic.
Assembly-Line mentality.

The Seeker is a better path for a person.

The Test

There is a simple test to demonstrate that the "Traditional Path" gives a person very little.
Give a person one of the "tests" they passed in school or university a little while after the fact and see if they can pass.
They likely cannot.
People study for tests, not for knowledge.
It is a crusty, backwards way of cementing knowledge.

Learn By Experience, Not By Study

Learn by doing, Not by reading about doing in a book.

An Alternative To Conventional Career/Life Paths

Young people who find that the traditional schooling path is unsatisfying (which would sadly be the majority of people) would be encouraged to try many different jobs and experiences.

This would be the adventurer's life.
Learning by doing countless different things.

A "Viable" And "Acceptable" Alternative

It is vitally important that people feel "accepted" and "acknowledged" by their fellow human beings.

A Seeker would be welcomed by their society and understood as being someone who does not do well in a traditional learning setting.

Seekers would be encouraged to keep trying new jobs and experiences for as long as they need to until they one day feel "settled".

The Empowerment Industry [A New Industry]

Personal Preamble

I find the whole concept of Industry disgusting personally.
The word conjures up imagery of smoke stacks churning black poison into a pristine blue sky,
of green, chemical saturated water being poured into clear streams,
of stone-faced men in severe black suits eyeing coldly the movement of a red line on a white chart.
The word makes me think of all the Inhumanity the word Industry carries with it.
I use the word here because it is readily understood, but I'm working on another in my head with a cleaner, nobler connotation.

The Empowerment Industry

The title says it all.
A whole new industry dedicated to empowering humanity.
A whole array of professions dedicated to making people confident, courageous, and fulfilled.

The Life Coach would be the model career in this new industry.

Life Coach [University Degree Program]

Mission Statement

In our society we believe that a person has to count on themselves, that ultimately the only person who can make a good life for a person is themselves.
The creator of this course does not believe that.
The creator of this course believes that confident, caring, empowered people who are at a higher-energy level can raise other people "up and out" of the difficulties in their lives.
Our society believes that leaving people in difficult situations, strengthens and toughens them and makes them more capable human beings. For some, it does, and for many more, it does nothing but consign them to long drawn out lives of "quiet desperation."
Graduates of this Degree Program will be people who will not let this happen.
Graduates of this Degree Program will become people who "Draw A Line. This Far, No Further." A person is supposed to be having an extraordinary life. If they are not, one's fellow Human Beings will not rest until that person is back to the path of having an extraordinary life.

Vision : The Life Coach

The Life Coach is a person who is not willing to just passively advise a person in life, no.
A Life Coach is a person who has to "get in there", to actively change a person's life for the better.

The Life Coaches' Commitment

A Life Coach is dedicated 100% to insuring that others are living extraordinary lives.

A Life Coach goes out of their way, far out of their way, to do everything they can to make sure their fellow human beings are having a fantastic life.

Why?
Because they want to.
Because they care.
Because they believe,
"If I Am Having A Great Life, Everyone Else Deserves To Have A Great Life, And I Am Going To Do Everything In My Power To Help Them Have One."

Being Trained To Be One Of The Popular Kids, Who Helps Lift Up The Unpopular Kids

Life Coaches are trained to be one of those people who are beloved by everyone.
The difference is that they don't keep their charisma limited to their circle of friends, they share it freely with everyone and lift them up to their potential.

The Life Coach : The Friend You Can Always Count On

A Life Coach can be thought of as a Professional Friend, but that cold, antiseptic definition does not do the nobility of the career justice.
A Life Coach is a profound sort of friend because they have had life experiences which have filled them with confidence, and they have made a life decision to share that confidence with others.
They do not mean to replace True Friends, rather, they mean to take their clients to a magic place in their own lives where they are full of confidence and self-love and they can attract their own friends, by virtue of being themselves : the difference being, they are the best themselves they could be.

Pro-Active vs. Passive

A Life Coach takes a Pro-Active approach to helping people as opposed to a Passive approach.
A Life Coach actively participates in a person's life, as opposed to merely 'commenting' and 'making observations.'

High Energy vs. Low Energy

A Life Coach understands that a person at a Low-Energy level cannot be truly helped by another person engaging them at a Low-Energy level.
A Life Coach is a person at a High-Energy level, raising people up to a High-Energy level.
The confidence and fun of a Life Coach energizes their client and opens doors they believed were shut.

Beyond Self-Help Books And Counseling

You can give someone a book on how to tie their shoes.
You can advise someone on how to tie their shoes.
But there really is no substitute to showing someone how to tie their shoes,
physically, presently, one real solid human being with another real solid human being showing each other a concrete process, the more experienced human being guiding the other in real time, in real response to their immediate concerns and questions.

Self-help books.
Counseling.
They are NOTHING compared to the effectiveness of actual human guidance, human involvement, human teaching.

Quotes

"Give A Man A Fish, Feed Him For A Day.
Teach A Man To Fish, Feed Him For A Life."

"The Life Coach Is Trained To Have A Great Life, And Their Role In Life Than Becomes To Help Others Have A Great Life Too."

Faculty : Psychology
Course : Inter-Client Relations

Move-Throughing [I don't like the word "overcoming"] Client's Resistance To Being Helped

A client's sense of "self-worth" is one of the great impediments to a Life Coach's ability to help.
Many people don't feel they deserve help, because they have not earned it,
because they have not suffered for it,
they are not special enough to deserve it.
This kind of thinking is a product of a hyper-competitive society which places paramount value on material gain and wealth achievement.
The Life Coach must wrestle with a diseased and self-destructive way of thinking and demonstrate to their clients that they are welcomed to being helped by the simple virtue of being alive.
The Life Coaching philosophy is one of helping everyone to have an extraordinary life just because life is a beautiful experience when not weighed down with chains of negative energy.
The Life Coach shows their clients just how extraordinary they are, and shows them that, once they are feeling fantastic about life, they contribute so much they earn their place in society a hundred-times over.
Once the barrier of unworthiness is passed, a person is free, and they give with unlimited potential to humanity.

Understanding Barriers To Achievement

"I can't do it."
A common feeling.
Where does it come from?
Simple : A lack of Confidence or Feelings of Unworthiness or, very likely, both

The Life Coach understands that when people have difficulty doing something, it stems from a lack of self-confidence and a vicious cycle of feeling unworthy because a person is too scared to do anything.

The Life Coach addresses these problems simply, by [together-moving : to move in tangent, in combination, in unison with another person, as if both people are one person. a combination of energies that appears as a complete melding together.] activities which demonstrate to their client just how infinitely capable they are.

Social Engineer [New Career]

There are many kinds of Engineers :
  • Electrical Engineer
  • Chemical Engineer
  • Structural Engineer
  • Civil Engineer
  • Mechanical Engineer
  • Aerospace Engineer
What they have in common is that they are Problem-Solvers.

====

A Social Engineer would solve societal problems.

They would work as a team using a group, analytical approach to solving social problems.

====

I imagine there are already plenty of fields which do something just like this,
Politicians and Social Policy Makers are probably prime examples,
but, I think of Social Engineers as primarily Problem-Solvers,
people who Think Outside The Box, who are willing to think up a new way of approaching something.

====

Engineers are problem solvers.
They don't get hung up on political issues, or power struggles, or profit margins.
They are present to solve problems.
To collaborate together and figure out solutions.

Humans Are Animals First, Sentient Second [Anthropological Insight]

That Human Beings make their decisions based principally on their EMOTIONS is not surprising given that Human Beings are an evolutionary progression of animals.
Animals which are governed by their EMOTIONS.

The Neo Cortex is most developed in Human Beings.
The highly developed brain is unique to Human Beings.
But both are extensions of the Animal Core.

"LOGIC Is An Attachment To The Human Experience, Not The Core."

Human Beings are built on a foundation of Animal-Emotion, with Logic tacked on.

The strategy for living life is to use Logic to guide and channel Emotion so that it is used most beneficially,
NOT to replace Emotion with Logic.
That is most certainly putting the Cart Before The Horse.
