Scientific Investigation : How Strong Is The Correlation Between Freedom To Run In Childhood And Reported Happiness In Adulthood

Hypothesis
  • Mechanically speaking, the human body's most natural form of movement is running. Human beings are most perfectly designed for the form of locomotion of running.
  • During childhood, children are told not to run on a regular basis.
  • "Don't run in the street." "Don't run inside the shopping mall." "Don't run inside the house." "Don't run in the classroom." "Don't run when invited to a friend's house." "Don't run, Don't run, Don't run."
  • It can be said that when human beings are doing well in life they are "running". If somebody is "crawling" through life, it can be inferred they are doing poorly. The admonition to not run regularly used throughout a person's life, permanently cripples people from succeeding.
Question
  • How strong is the correlation between not being permitted to run, and overall human happiness and well being?
  • When a child is raised with the regular warning of not running, will the child grow up to be anything but crippled and unbalanced?

The PIERQ : Post-Information Exposure Recall Quiz

Question : How Is Something Learned?
  • One technique is by asking a person questions after they have been exposed to information.
  • Doing so helps a person reaffirm the information they have been exposed to and integrate the information in a manner which works with their unique mental framework.
Question : How Do We Learn Language?
  • Language is the skill which is most inherently human. Language defines humanity. The species of the planet Earth which can communicate with far and away the greatest sophistication of any species by infinite orders of magnitude.
  • So, how does a child learn to speak? By being exposed to language, and then by reaffirming that language with questions.
  • "What's that baby? What's that?" The baby responds teddy, or bed, or bottle, or apple, and so on.
  • "What's dat?", Baby asks. Mommy or Daddy answers, "That's a chair, or that's a table, or that's a tv," and so on.
  • So it goes. For days and months and years and this exposure to knowledge with subsequent cementing by the technique of question and answer results in a person learning language.
  • This same principle can be applied to the technique of using quizzes to cement knowledge gained from exposure to information gleaned from the internet.
  • There's a vast amount of knowledge on the internet, and to be an empowered citizen of the world requires a profound level of education.
  • Quizzing to cement knowledge is an excellent technique to achieve this.

Hafiz : A Person Who Has Memorized The Quran
  • There are tens of millions of Hafidhs and Hafidahs in the world.
  • The Quran is memorized by constant recitation and questioning students regularly on the Quran's content.
The Written Chinese Language
  • To read a newspaper written in Chinese characters, a person must know a minimum of between 3000-5000 characters.
  • Most literate Chinese people know about 10,000 characters.
  • Chinese literary scholars know 30,000 plus characters.
  • It's an amazing feat of memorization which is commonplace for more than 1/7th of the world's population.
  • How is it achieved? Exposure to information (Chinese characters). Being questioned about the information (encountering characters which are unfamiliar). Affirming the answer to the question (practicing unknown characters over and over).
  • How is knowledge secured? Question and Answer.

The PIERQ
  • Very simple. Whoever wants others to further think about and perhaps memorize information they have shared, prepares a quiz which other people can take after they have been exposed to the information originally shared. That's it.
  • When people put the effort into sharing their own point of view, it is nice, and useful, if the people who have been exposed to the point of view can have an opportunity to test and recall the information they have been exposed to.

A Mental Defrag : Technique For Rebooting A Scattered Mind

  • The purpose of a Mental Defrag is to give the mind an opportunity to reorganize the massive amount of information (thoughts, ideas, feelings) one is exposed to during the daily experience of being human.
  • In direct contrast to the mainstream, assembly-line, approach of dealing with information by "focusing harder", "concentrating more", "further disciplining the mind".
  • People organize their minds differently. The way one person processes information is different from the methods of another person. That is why the technique for slotting the information each individual person is exposed to, must be unique to the person.
The Computer Model Of The Mind
  • The Computer Model of The Mind is exceptionally instructive in understanding how the human mind works. After all, computers are physical manifestations of the invisible world of human thoughts : a direct mirror by which to examine the way the human mind works.
The Mental Defrag Technique
  1. Comfortable Chair. I'd recommend a Lazy Boy or a Recliner. Relax.
  2. Lights Off or Low Light.
  3. Let your mind go...Technically I call this process "Churning".
Churning
  • Your mind will process vast amounts of information which will flash through your awareness like the "memory fast-forward" sequences in movies.
  • You will remember things you have done during the day, yesterday, days ago, weeks ago, years ago.
  • You will see endless amounts of imagery. The ability of sight enables us to see vast amounts of imagery every day of our lives.
What Does This All Do?
  • Simply stated, it relieves the pressure of the accumulated wealth of knowledge a person has stored in their short-term memory, reprocesses that information into pieces which are suited to each person's unique mental framework, and stores those pieces in long-term memory for access when the need presents itself in the future.
What's The Secret To Getting A Mental Defrag Going?
  • You have to let go.
  • Let go of the way you have been conditioned to "be organized", "stand up straight", "tuck in your shirt", "be efficient", "be quiet", "be punctual".
  • Let go of the belief that has been beat into you by a still-immature human species that you have to "organize your thoughts" and "be focused to succeed".
  • The only thing you have to do in this life : is be true to yourself. That's it.
  • Let your mind show you, what it needs to show you.
Going For A Mental Run
  • Think of the process as going for a run, for your mind. Stretch your mental muscles.
Divergent Thinking
  • Everyone on the planet is a genius at coming up with imaginative solutions to problems.
  • Deers Run. Fish Swim. Humans Think. That's what we do.
  • A Mental Defrag is letting your mind run and swim as fast and as much as it wants to.
"Free Your Mind."

The Power Of The Boycott : The People ALWAYS Have The Power

Netflix and Qwikster
  • Netflix dumped Qwikster because its clients voiced their displeasure with the idea.
  • Netflix's stock priced dropped.
  • It might have potentially lost thousands, or more, subscribers.
  • Netflix's CEO made the right decision in respecting its subscriber's wishes.
  • The lesson here though is that companies require clients. Meaning clients have the ultimate power in guiding companies.
  • After all : companies come together to fill a "niche", fulfill a "need in society. That niche, that need comes from the individual wants of the peoples in a society.
  • People must wake up into realizing their personal power.

The Elimination Of Santa Clause, The Tooth Fairy, The Easter Bunny, and

...the host of fictional puppets used to indoctrinate the masses from a very young age :
  • be good : or you won't get any presents
  • be obedient : or you will be punished with coal and disappointment
  • be anxious : you never know when one of the mythical puppets are watching you, judging you, counting every mistake you make, and weighing that against what you deserve in life.
Be afraid, or more precisely, you will be afraid, because you know that throughout your whole life, infinitely powerful creatures will be watching you, determining if you are a worthy human being.

If you do not measure up, they will punish you with disappointment and the absence of reward or recognition, and these are the benevolent puppets.

Watch Out!

If one of the crueler puppets out there, the ones lurking in the shadows your parents fear, is disappointed in you : your life will be forfeit.

...be good...or else....

Problem Petitions accompanied by Solution Petitions

Problem Petition
  • The typical petition. A petition is usually "against" something, stating a particular problem, or array of problems, and holding that the signataries are against the problem and want it stopped.
Solution Petition
  • A new phenomenon.
  • Petitions are very powerful tools, but as they are currently often used, they only address half of any particular issue : the problem half.
  • As petitions are currently used, they are regularly a fairly negative tool, casting a spotlight on the problem, but providing no relief in the form of a solution.
  • A solution petition would be the answer to this issue.
  • A solution petition would provide answers to the problems brought to bear by problem petitions.
  • An s.p is the ying to a p.p's yang. This provides balance to the petitioning process.

GreenCo - Warehouse Club Dedicated To A Sustainable Future

The name pretty much says it all.
The Costco, big box store, warehouse, style model of goods distribution with a sustainable mandate.

The GreenCo Promise

GreenCo guarantees that all of its products are the most sustainable and environmentally responsible available.

The GreenCo Vision

It's time for companies to stop being parasitic cancers in the world.
It's time for companies to become communities dedicated to creating a beautiful world for everyone to enjoy long lives and prosper.

Warehouse Convenience, Sustainability Commitment

In today's neurotic Capitalist world, time and efficiency is everything.

The Warehouse model is a good one for this mad world, but it needs a sustainable focus.

Local Organic Produce First. International Organic Second.

GreenCo places priority on produce generated by local farmers.

GreenCo is keenly aware of the enormous energy and fuel costs associated with acquiring produce from increasingly distant sources.

GreenCo will greatly encourage local, organic farmers by providing access to a large sales center with a large consumer base, and greatly promoting the environmentally sustainable concept of buying local.

GreenCo will offer produce from more distant, organic sources on a limited basis, and with an unwavering policy of using renewable energy sources and purchasing green energy credits.

What About The Little Guy's?

What about the small organic and sustainability stores?

GreenCo refuses to let small stores be crushed by large warehouse's buying power.

GreenCo will Price Match and Price Compensate smaller stores.

Further explanation is in order :
GreenCo will do the research to Price Match to what the smaller stores are selling the same products at.
Evil Corporation Free! Brand Deodorant sells for $6 at the local organic store, and that's what it sells for at GreenCo.
GreenCo will Price Compensate consumers who pay more for the same product at a smaller LOCAL store.
Evil Corporation Free! Brand Toothpaste sells for $4 at the local organic store, and GreenCo sells it for $3, GreenCo will give the customer a buck with proof of purchase from the local store.

GreenCo provides a shopping alternative to smaller stores NOT a shopping "replacement".
Some people like the convenience of massive warehouse-stores,
some people like the personal touch of smaller stores.

GreenCo refuses to be the big bully.
GreenCo is committed to being the friendly giant.

The GreenCo Workplace

GreenCo is just a name, people are what matter, and shaping a world which is healthy and wonderful for everyone is the company's purpose in life.
  1. Co-Op style Co-Ownership. All employees own a part of GreenCo, as fairly divided as can be made.
  2. Empowerment of employees is an uncompromisable must of the working experience. Employees are taught as fast as they can absorb and want to absorb material. Naturally, there are only so many positions in different areas available, but if a person grows beyond what GreenCo can provide at the speed of light, they are encouraged to change to another company, start their own company, run for President, or whatever their heart desires. The GreenCo community will give them everything they can as fast as they can take it.
Life is meant to grow. Human beings are alive. Human beings are meant to grow

GreenCo Transparency

GreenCo is 100% transparent about the origins of all its products.
The information is all available on the company website, in an easy to access format.

If customers want to donate extra funds to the sustainable suppliers of GreenCo's products, GreenCo will match the donation, and extend a tip of the hat for the good deed.

GreenCo Believes In Humanism

That is, GreenCo believes in humanity evolving to a world without money, greed, war, or disease : the Star Trek future.
GreenCo works to that end.
